Karla Agee-Seldon started out singing when she learned to talk. Her roots are in gospel. She opened up for such acts as Rev. Little Richard, Mattie Moss Clark and the Clark Sisters under the direction of Michael Johnson, Danibelle Hall, Debbie Austin & Gwen Morgan, Mighty Clouds of Joy, The William Brothers, and many more as a young girl.
Karla comes from a family of musicians, (Nell Carter), Harold Brown Drummer and one of the founders of the band (War) now founder of the Low Rider Band who sparked an interest in Karla to want to do more with her talent, Harold sent for Karla when she was 20 yrs old to try to help her in her career, but (Karla failed to tell Harold that by that time she got married and was with child, talk about timing) Tawatha Agee (Mtume) and Baseball legend the late Tommie Agee (Met, Astro, Cardinal, Dodgers, Red Sox, & White Sox) who passed in 2001.He did all he could to help Karla with her career. But, it just wasn't her time.
Now Karla has a new CD out and has collaborated with the great Grammy Award Winner, Billy Beck of the Ohio Players. Billy along with Larry Troutman is the composer for the hit song, As We Lay/Shirley Murdock. Billy allowed Karla to place this song on her CD and she has done an incredible job with the remake. Check out the song that Karla, Billy Beck, and Ray Brooks created.
Karla wrote the lyrics as an autobiography of her past and present. Believe it- because this is Karla's story, the ups and the downs of her life and her struggles. All that she is grateful for through all of her tears and joys. Through all that she encountered, she has not given up on her dreams.
This Debut CD is her autobiography. One that she hopes will encourage other musicians to never give up on their dreams regardless of your age, gender, race, or circumstance. "For the Battle is not given to the swift nor the strong, but to he who endureth to the end".

"Producer Dr. Dre is being sued by Paramount Recording Studios for millions of dollars, after failing to a pay a bill for recording time.
Paramount Recording Studios is suing Dre for $1,220,500 for breach of contract, according to the lawsuit that was filed two days ago. Dr. Dre, who has recorded at Paramount for at least ten years, has been given cheaper rates to record and continues to record there for his main work.
According to the lawsuit, Dr. Dre and his record label Aftermath Entertainment allegedly rented the recording studio from April 2009 until June of 2010. Dr. Dre agreed to pay the bill by July 13th, but did not when that date came around. Paramount claims that they were never paid for the dates.
Dr. Dre has been using the studio to put the finishing touches on his upcoming album “Detox,” and has not spoken yet on the lawsuit.
Dang Dre, you sure you didn't make up this lawsuit for an excuse to push back “Detox” even more. I mean you been producing for over 20 years, you don't have a studio?"
....DMV's own BBU Boyz just wanna be young.....and successful... i know i heard that "bringing fame to they name"(0:48) line somewhere... What yall think??
"New York City officials are investigating a number of residents including Sean “Diddy” Combs after they say they collectively owe the city an estimated $1.9 billion.
Diddy's flagship company, Bad Boy Entertainment, is facing legal action for illegally plastering posters around the city leaving them with a $996,000 bill that has reportedly yet to be paid.
According to the New York Daily News, Finance Commissioner David Frankel is fed up with Diddy and the several other people that account for the city's billion dollar debt.
He tells the NYDN,
"We are going to find these people. We're going to turn them upside down by their ankles and we're going to shake them until the money comes out of their pockets."
A spokesman for Bad Boy has since described the bill as a "bureaucratic error", and tells the NYDN that it was “paid by a partner company three years ago but the city hasn't updated the record.”
A city spokesman said lawyers are reviewing the issue.
Doug E. Fresh and Remy Ma's defense lawyer are also being investigated for their unpaid bills."

After being aptly nicknamed the "Final Destination Group" due to personal and musical setbacks, St Joe Louis release their first full length project entitled "30,000 ft High & Rising". It commences with a homage to De La Soul and then sky-rockets into the epic life journey’s of Elete, Tommie Chase and Michael Cardigan. The trio- candid in their approach and transparent in their delivery- share their triumphs and failures on tracks like, "I Reply", and "Run Out of Love", respectively. The title of the project not only deals with being fly but the pressures they face in reaching for their dreams. With artist features including Skyzoo, PH (formerly Pumkinhead), Daniel Joseph, and others.
"30,000 ft. & Rising" is presented by RefinedHype, Rock The Dub and Potholes In My Blog.

LOL ok ok, i can't watch the whole thing... I gotta skiddadle, but halfway through, I'm down for Dreams.. dude is funny, and has way more interesting punch lines...
..This song is forever a classic hip-hop track... This is the first song I flipped as a young beatmaker, not even knowing what he was really doing... Can't believe it's nearly been 10 years since it's release.. #respect..
This song is dope.. Very Golden Hip-Hop reminiscent.. If you listen closely you can hear a few references as well... #dope .... Listen & Download the track HERE
..I dunno bout 50 Cent no more.... He needs to do something... I dont feel his presence in Hip-Hop anymore.. which sucks cause 50 is dope, he should release a mixtape or sumthin...
I'm not a big "Chronic" dude, so I can't claim blasphemy....but this album better be dope, I know that much... Rick Ross aint bad, but I guess we'll see... It IS dope that he has a LITTLE knowledge of hip-hop history tho.. seems to know the background of his art, #respect..
...HUH?? Am I last one to know about this??? That would be dope.... But i think a few people would stand out too much.... Lupe tells the story of how this group came about.. Listen HERE
Diggy has kinda paved the way for his family since his father... He's probably had more success than anyone else in his immediate family.. #props... He needs to stay consistent tho... and his flow seems a big repetitious (no hate)... Big ups tho... I'll be looking forward to his new mixtape dropping this thursday, July 29th..
SIDE NOTE: The nintendo Diggy x Clown face looking thing in the beginning is black face lol
#Dope.... found this at EWFTW... Saddest part of this is the fact that it looks to be a giant structure of nothing... Maybe it's just my imagination but it'd be really dope if it actually did something... Well, it's a start...
"The Sucker Free crown winners (see the winners list here) were determined with votes from 50 other tastemakers like Angela Yee, Funkmaster Flex, Uncle Ralph, Green Lantern, Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg, Chuck Creekmur, Datwon Thomas, Clinton Sparks, Don Cannon, Greg Street, Michael “5000″ Watts, Julia Beverly, and more."
..I love videos like this... Basically MTV gathered a bunch of big name, "important" figures from all around hip-hop to deem everything good or bad, best of worst for this year.... I dunno, the only artist is Fat Joe... Shouldn't these awards be given out by their peers?? It's basically the unofficial MTV2 Awards....Check it out...
Awwwww... Yo they should do this with all the wrestlers from the 90s... Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Kane, Hulk Hogan, Yokozuna..... tell me that wouldnt be dope..... BRET HART!!!
..YO!!! So if you dont know who E.S. Posthumus is kill your grandmother and bury yourself in her clothes... This remix is kiinnnda dope.. ill give it 3.5/5 rose buds... I feel like it coulda been better, only cause I know E.S. Posthumus... I dunno if it's directly from them or someone else mixed this, but it's not too bad.. Check it out, #stamp...
......Kid Cudi is dope.. he performs two new songs(only one shown) at the SoHo Bape store... The song he performs in this video is realllyyy dope.. cant wait for his new album... We need some more of that "Man On The Moon" type music!!!!...
